TUESDAY, MAY 21st - School store open during lunch hours for grades 1-5

PTA Meeting - 7:30 pm. It's the last meeting of the year, please come find out whats being planned for end of the year and to get involved for next year. We are also electing new officials for 2013/2014.

THURSDAY, MAY 23rd - Science Fair - Grade 5 - 7:00 pm

FRIDAY, May 24th - Science Fair - Grade 5 - 9:00-12:00

MONDAY, May 27th - MEMORIAL DAY No School

Please submit your Box Tops by the end of May if possible. Many Box Tops carry a June 2013 expiration date. A final submission will be made May 31st to beat the expiration deadline. Also, all classroom tallies conclude Friday, May 31st. Pizza parties for the top 3 classes will be announced soon thereafter. Thank you.

Monday, May 20th, we are going to start a new pick up procedure. Parents will park in the back parking lot and line up by cafeteria door # 9. As you enter the building this Thursday and Friday, you will receive a pick up identification dismissal pass (bright pink). You will show this to the person on duty as you approach your children and/or as you sign out in the dismissal book. Children are to remain seated until you approach them. You will exit the building through the door you used to enter (door # 9.) We feel this procedure will make pick up safer for all concerned and allow for an earlier dismissal. Thanking you in advance for your cooperation and support with these new safety procedures.

KINDERGARTEN LATE REGISTRATION: The Trumbull Public School district will conduct a "late" Kindergarten registration for children eligible to attend Kindergarten in September 2013, on Thursday, June 6 at Tashua Elementary School. To enter Kindergarten, a child must have been born on January 1, 2009 or prior. Anyone who wishes to attend late registration must contact Lauren Butler in the Superintendent's office at 452-4301 to schedule an appointment.

Mrs. Norcel needs helpers 8 am to 5 pm all this week to copy TRACKS materials and to book bind handbooks. Please contact the office at 203-452-4227 if interested or contact Joanne at WeissJ@trumbullps.org. Thank you.

All student absences are to be called into the nurse at 203-452-4228 as the absentee line is no longer available. Each absence from school requires both a phone call to the school on the day of the absence and a note the day the child returns to school for the child’s file. If a child is absent for more than three consecutive days, a note is needed from the child’s physician.
